Taylor Swift: Literacy, Media, and Me!
Embrace your Swiftie love or discover what Swiftmania is all about!
In this camp students will dive deeper into the creative songwriting talent of Taylor Swift! Each day, students will examine a sampling of her songs to analyze the literary and figurative components and to connect to other texts, media and the real world. Students will create their own media projects inspired by the singer and work together to create fun analysis of their favorite Taylor Swift Era. Art-themed projects include vision boards, shadow boxes, friendship bracelets, chai cookies! On the last day of camp, we will look into parts of her documentary–Miss Americana, and the Era’s Tour footage and connect it to the song analysis from earlier in the week. Every day there will be a fun Taylor Swift theme! All are welcome who love music, poetry, and Taylor Swift!
