Elementary Tech Academy
Learn various aspects of programming, software, robots, and video game design.
In this week-long course, your child will learn hands-on skills in the areas of electrical, software, and mechanical engineering. Students will engineer and build small robots using MicroBits and Lego Spark microprocessors. Students will also fashion frames and accessories for their robots, as well as other small objects using CAD (computer-aided design) design programs and 3D printers to make their ideas become reality. Students will focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) principles while developing cutting edge critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and design thinking skills and strategies that go beyond the classroom to help them develop the grit and perseverance necessary for success in school and life.
