Frosh Cat Camp (Orientation)
Meet your classmates and get to know the campus before the start of the school year.
These fun (optional, but encouraged!) opportunities are to help engage the incoming frosh class and get to know other members of the Class of 2028 before school begins in August! This package includes everything listed below. You can also purchase by activity. We look forward to welcoming you on campus again soon!
Welcome BBQ
Get ready to kick off your frosh year with a sizzle! Join us for a BBQ where incoming frosh will have the chance to meet their Big Cat mentors, meet their fellow classmates from the Class of 2028, and dive into the vibrant community of SI. Last year, we had over 90% of the incoming class attend this BBQ so it was a great way to start off your SI career. This year we are also asking the students to bring a device (iPhone, iPad or tablet) as our technology team and Big Cats will help every student get registered with their SI email and join/follow some of the important SI related social media accounts. Enjoy delicious food, and play fun games as you make connections, get acquainted with campus life, and have a blast before classes begin. Please register by April 10th so we can have a headcount.
Cat Camp
Cat Camp is the perfect opportunity to see what makes SI a fun place! Over two days (Monday July 15 & Tuesday, July 16) students will compete with their future classmates in outdoor games, gym activities, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, and other fun activities. Lunch will be provided both days as this camp will be from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM each day. You’ll experience the SI culture alongside the rest of the class of 2028, future teachers and student Big Cats!
Giants Game
Go Giants! While their colors aren’t red and blue, you'll cheer alongside your classmates and your Big Cats for the athletic team of the city. The Giants play the Atlanta Braves at 6:45 PM. Sign up to meet one last time with your future classmates before school starts, learn about the athletic culture of SI, and immerse yourself in the culture of SI’s hometown, San Francisco! Wear your Giants gear!

Prepare for Camp
- Review Release Forms: All participants agree to this Medical and Liability Release Form.
- What to wear: Dress comfortably for on-campus activity sessions. Campers will receive a special Cat Camp performance shirt.
- Lunch & Snacks: Hot lunch and snacks will be provided for Welcome BBQ and Cat Camp.
