SI HS Academics: 11th Grade
Use the summer to advance your knowledge with a variety of academic and elective courses. Expand your skills with the SI staff for a successful high school academic experience. All courses will count towards high school credit.
*These courses are for St. Ignatius students only. Registration requires an SI Student ID Number, which can be found in PowerSchool.
Academics
Physics (Online or In Person)
Dates: June 3 - July 12 (no class June 19 and July 4-5)
Time: 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
Final Exams: June 24 and July 12
Enrollment Requirement: Completion of Biology, Chemistry, and Algebra 1. Science GPA 2.0 or higher.
Cost: $2,575
This course aims to further develop students’ appreciation for and competence in the scientific method. This course also aims to develop students’ conceptual and quantitative understanding of physical principles. Students perform experiments to develop proficiency in laboratory techniques in applying physical principles to the analysis of experimental data. Units of study in this course include motion, Newton’s Laws, collisions, energy, circular motion, and electricity and magnetism.
Prepare for Class
Online students will receive a lab box or materials for the summer (pick-up at SI). Details on when you can pick up your lab box will be emailed out prior to June 5.

If a spot opens up, we will notify you via email and/or phone to complete registration. *If you choose to enroll in an online course as you wait for an in-person spot to become available, it is imperative that you still add your child to that waitlist for the in-person course.
