Intro to Chess
If you are brand new to chess or curious to go beyond moving the pieces, this 5-day in-person camp is an introduction to the fundamentals of chess. From learning how the pieces move, understanding elementary strategy and tactics, and figuring out basic checkmates, the camp will offer enrichment and joy. Each day will offer instruction, applied practice, puzzles, and appropriate play! Let your mind explore both the science and creativity of chess, and enjoy it in a fun and collaborative setting.
Chess Camp
If you understand the elementary tactics of chess or are curious to go beyond the basics, this 3-day in-person camp is an intermediate experience that builds on the fundamentals of chess. Beginners are always welcome! From learning about opening strategies and understanding middle game concepts, each day of the camp will offer some advanced ideas, applied practice, puzzles, and head-to-head play. Get ready to elevate your chess game!
Camp Dates

Morning Half Day: 9am-12pm - Chess Camp
Week 4: July 1-3 (No camp July 4-5)
Afternoon Half Day: 1pm-4pm

Chess Camp: Rising 6th to 8th Graders
